
Mandarin Bilingual Program
Highlights:

Builds upon the existing heritage language program

Maintains native language capacity while attaining English language proficiency

Two strands starting in K1 in September 2025 and “roll up” an additional grade each year

Languages of Instruction: English and Mandarin/Chinese

MATH taught in Mandarin

Heritage classes (Mandarin) taught 2 times a week

Students are expected to remain in the Bilingual Education program strands through 5th grade

Option to continue Mandarin World Language course offerings through 12th grades at Josiah Quincy Upper School

Students will have opportunities to interact and learn with their peers throughout the school

Prioritizes access for students whose home language is Chinese
